History:
Signal Sportswear was founded in 1979. We manufacture functional apparel for some of the most discerning sports and outdoor apparel brands and private labels across the globe, with primary markets in Europe, North American, and Japan.
Our headquarters is located in Taipei, Taiwan. In addition, we have merchandising offices in Shanghai, China; Fuzhou, China; and Dhaka, Bangladesh. Leveraging more than 20 years of experience in the industry, each of our senior managers, brings wisdom and professionalism to the production process.
From our own factories in China and Bangladesh we produce functional sportswear for the cycling, running, outdoor and ski/snowboard industries. While we are able to realize virtually any of your sportswear needs, we are particularly competitive in jackets. We have produced essentially all ranges and styles of jackets: ultra-thin packable, softshell, fully seam-taped and laser-cut waterproof styles, among others.
Large & Small Orders Accepted
We divide manufacturing into two main processes:
1. Smaller orders and prototyping are sent to our factory located in Fuqing, Fujian, China.
2. Larger orders and price-competitive items are produced in our factories in Jinkou City, Shandong, China and Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Our facilities are located in low-overhead regions, allowing for competitive costing.

Global Sourcing and Supply Chain Capabilities
Our global network of wholly owned and partner factories are in prime locations such as China, Vietnam, Myanmar and Bangladesh.
From our head office in Taipei we are able to quickly source affordable, high-quality fabric and accessories from Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, the U.S., or essentially anywhere our customers require. We also readily work with nominated fabric and accessory suppliers located virtually anywhere around the globe. Some of our long term fabric partners include: Gore, Pertex, Schoeller, Toray, and Primaloft.
Sweatshop-free Production
Our products are made in safe and clean environments with good lighting and ventilation. We respect local customs, and are adamant about preventing employee exploitation, coercion and abuse. We only hire trained workers and experienced managers.
We provide affordable health care and free accommodation, and give performance bonuses and seasonal perks to workers. These incentives lead to higher performance, improved product quality, and increased employee retention.

Color Control
We use a lightbox and Datacolor SP600 spectrometer to ensure color consistency for each and every production batch.

Chemical Control
Authorities and consumers across the globe have become quite sensitive in recent years to product safety and health-related issues associated with chemicals and substances used in products sold in their markets. We understand the importance of these issues and have taken steps to ensure consistent adherence to legal requirements in chemical/substance compliance areas like AZO, Reach, Nickel, PVC etc. All of the fabrics we use in our garments that have been Oeko-Tex or Bluesign approved are guaranteed to be free of banned substances.

Legal Requirements
As a reputable company Signal has been maintaining all legal and statutory requirements of the countries in which it operates.
Employment
Signal is maintaining minimum wages, hours of work, overtime and other related requirements as per prevailing laws of the country.
Wages, Pay Slips, Attendance
Signal is maintaining workers attendance, wages, pay slips, leave records, etc. electronically through computer software and finger print recognition technology.
Child Labor
Child labor is strictly prohibited in the factory; no worker below the age of 18 is allowed for any employment. Birth Certificate, Doctor's Age determination documents, if age is in doubt, are verified before offering any employment to any worker.
Forced Labor
Forced labor is strictly prohibited in the factory and there are no prisoners, bonded labor or any kind of forced labor.
Nondiscrimination
It is Signal's policy to ensure affirmative action in providing equal opportunities without regard to race, religion, creed, color, sex, age or national origin except where age or sex is a bona fide occupational qualification. Further, it is prohibited to conduct any kind of maternity test before 0xion of any female worker for employment.
Security Concerns
The company is very much concerned about all security concerns, including but not limited to, Access Controls, Physical Security, Procedural Security, Personnel Security and Education & Awareness Training. Further, all measures are in place to prevent any kind of unauthorized or unidentified access to the factory premises.
Right of Association
Workers are allowed to form Lawful Associations.
Harassment and Abuse
It is the company's strict policy to make sure no harassment or abuse inside the factory premises. Whoever gets involved with or encourages such activities will be dealt with immediately based on company policy for disciplinary actions. Furthermore, management of the company has a very positive attitude towards worker's grievances and takes all grievances very seriously.

Health, Safety & Welfare
All measures are adopted in the factory to provide maximum health and safety arrangements to all our employees. Appropriate lighting facilities, pure drinking water, proper ventilation, adequate exit doors, free access to all fire fighting equipment, adequate and unblocked walkways throughout the factory, one toilet for each 25 employees, and all kinds of safety equipment for workers wherever applicable are provided. In addition, a dining hall is maintained by the factory and all staff are given lunch and dinner. |
